Bunny and Guinea Pig Holidays

We have four enclosures suitable for bunnies or guinea pigs; we are not a big boarding establishment our aim is to give your pet a quite, comfortable and safe holiday.  We do not board indoor rabbits - but they are welcome to stay outside.

Shady Lodge  sits in the shade of our large field maple tree giving shade from the midday sun. It consists of  a suite of two enclosures one of which will house two bunnies, both enclosures have the option of an outside run; these can be closed in inclement weather. Inside Shady Lodge there are snug sleep boxes which are raised up from the floor (access via wooden runway). Litter trays are supplied for the use of the more conscientious visitor. There is ample floor space for stretching out and relaxing.  If you require extra space these two can be combined into one large area.

Owl Holt also sits in the shade of our field maple giving protection from the midday sun. Owl Holt is a solid hutch with two floor roomy accommodation, large enough for two bunnies or a gaggle of guinea pigs. It has a large cosy sleeping area and as one of our younger visitors described a downstairs sitting room, it also has an outdoor run. Owl Holt has litter trays and has the benefit of being watched over by two wise old (wooden) owls.

In addition we have Paddock Suite (suitable for a single rabbit) and Maple Apartments (hutches top and bottom suitable for rabbits or guinea pigs, which have housed six guinea pigs in the past).  All visitors have the option of day visits to a grass based run. In hot weather (if we ever have any again) iced water bottles are supplied for cooling hot cross bunnies, laying against or throwing around the run. All food, hay, fresh food and bedding are included in the boarding price. Feeding bowls and water bottles are also supplied.

All pets should arrive in a secure pet carrier.  Any pet showing signs of illness (dirty bottoms), injury or pregnancy will not be accepted.  All rabbits should be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD, please bring your vaccination card with you.  Rabbits will not be boarded with other boarders or with our rabbits.  We also have an emergency indoor cage which we can use as hospital accommodation for rabbits and guinea pigs who need isolation or extra care.
